HeidiSQL is a MySQL database manager that is very popular on the Windows platform. It stands out for providing a simple graphical environment to perform operations that until now have been done through commands.
Unfortunately, HeidiSQL does not have a version for Mac OS X, but not for long. Now there is jHeidi, and alternative to HeidiSQL developed in Java that aims to bring Mac OS X almost all of the features available in Windows.
Some features in jHeidi which are also found in HeidiSQL are:
-Create, update, delete database tables, feilds, or indexes.
-Window for interactive SQL queries.
-User Management.
-Browser support for MySQL.
-Management of the connection profile.
-Export to CVS, HTML, and XML.
-Import CVS.

Notes
It Requires Java 1.5Nightly Builds of heidisql.exe Latest automatically compiled main executable and installers for HeidiSQL. Just download and overwrite your existing C: Program Files HeidiSQL heidisql.exe. Be aware that these builds are not official releases and therefore probably have more bugs, possibly serious ones. MAC database administration I'm looking for database administration tools for MariaDB, I've used HeidiSQL on a PC and live this, but I understand it isn't available for a MAC. Answer Answered by Jan Steinman in this comment. HeidiSQL is a useful tool designed for web developers using the popular MySQL server, Microsoft SQL databases and PostgreSQL. It enables you to browse and edit data, create and edit tables, views, procedures, triggers and scheduled events. Also, you can export structure and data either to SQL file, clipboard or to other servers. HeidiSQL, previously known as MySQL-Front, is a free and open source client, or frontend for MySQL (and for its forks like MariaDB and Percona Server), Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL. HeidiSQL is developed by German programmer Ansgar Becker and a few other contributors in Delphi.
